No regrets.

Share it Please
I'm not one of those people who tweets or posts a status after something happens, which should be kept private. You know the ones, when people reply with, "what's up?" and what comes back is something along the lines of "nothing" or "PM me." Like, really?

I'm not one of those people who blogs about something with deep hatred either.

A few months ago I blogged about my break up and how I was dealing with it. In that time, I realised that I had no hate in my system; a little bit of sadness maybe, but what surprised me was that I was happy to be dumped! I missed my friend terribly, but I was happy that the pain we were putting each other was over with.

30 minutes ago, Jamie left my house. He dropped my stuff off and we talked everything over.

I guess I just want to put words down, showing that I feel relieved that I still have my friend. Not all relationships have to finish sour.

It's time to keep going now. I can smile a little more.

No regrets, they don't work.
No regrets now, they only hurt.

  1. This is kind of refreshing! I was with my ex for a year and a half and we're still friends. In fact, I'm still friends with a lot of my ex's. Sometimes, things just don't work out and I like to think they do eventually work out for the best, I dunno, but I try to regret nothing.

    1. I was with him for 3 years and friends for 2 years before that...it would be a shame to waste it. It's nice to hear that it works out for other people too! x

  2. Yeah, I don't like to put too much out there online.. But sometimes surprise myself on my blog. Especially with how much better I feel when it's out there. Pleased you're feeling a bit better.

    1. It's weird how yo can be so selective on Facebook and Twitter, yet a blank blog page can help it all come out!

  3. I know this isn't the most important part of your post, but I've had No Regrets stuck in my head for the last few days.
It's so good that you still have a friend from this, if you're both happier apart then it is the best thing

    1. Ooooh I do love a bit of old Robbie! ;) It just seemed fitting to be honest...although the ex never liked him...! Ha! x

  4. I'm just going through a break up and I felt almost relief when it was over. I loved him and I still do but we weren't making each other happy so it seemed pointless to carry on. It's good to see a positive sight on a break up. M x
